Halogen: a cappella with a kick!
With powerful lead vocals, soaring harmonies, driving bass lines, and inventive vocal percussion, Halogen never fails to get an audience’s attention, and they use their unique musical sound to minister to and entertain audiences of all kinds. Halogen is a contemporary 5-man a cappella group specializing in original Christian contemporary music – they leave the pianos, guitars, and drums at home, blowing audiences away using only their voices!
The band has performed throughout the Southeast for church services, concerts, weddings, parties, holiday events, television commercials, sporting events, songwriting competitions, etc. since 1995. Halogen is a versatile group, fitting in well in both traditional and contemporary worship services, and their unique brand of music is suited to nearly any occasion.
With their original songs, they won 3rd place at the MOVA Songwriter’s Competition in 2002; then they recorded their first CD for official release, HALOGENESIS, in 2003. Halogen went on to win the regional competition for the Inspiration Networks’ Christian Artist Talent Search (CATS) in 2003 as well, and progressed to the semi-final round on National Television in 2004. Most recently, Halogen advanced to the semi-finals of Exalting Him 2006 with "Thank You", a song from their newest release, Depths.
